Return Policy
Our number one priority is to make sure our customers are satisfied. At Care Medical Source we try to help you order the right product for your needs. However, we do understand that occasionally you may receive the wrong product or that your selection does not work out for you. In these situations we are happy to take the item(s) back.
Almost all items purchased through CMS are returnable. Items that are non-returnable include (but are not limited to) items that have been used or that are not in their original packaging. Other examples of non-returnable items include ultra lightweight wheelchairs, handcycles, sport wheelchairs, hygiene products, opened urological products, special-ordered items, and any customized products. Exceptions would be if the item(s) received were different than the item(s) ordered. At the time you place your order you will be notified if the item(s) are non-returnable.
To return an item you must be given prior authorization. It is also necessary to contact us within 30 days of the date you receive the product. (We reserve the right to authorize after the 30 days.) To get a return authorization simply call one of our friendly customer service staff at 800-443-7091 or contact us on our web site at customercare@caremedicalsource.com. You will be given a RA number to write on the outer box of your return package and informed of the correct mailing address for the return. Please mail the package back within 10 days of receiving a RA number. It’s that simple. The RA number will ensure that your account will be credited properly or that a refund check is mailed to you.
Packages that are returned without prior authorization will be refused by CMS and shipped back to the customer at their expense. Returned packages will also be evaluated at the time of receipt to make sure they are unused and in their original packaging. All products must be returned with pre-paid freight and insurance. If the reason for the return was an error by CMS, you will not be responsible for the return freight cost.
Keep in mind that a restocking fee may apply to some returns. This fee will never exceed 25% of the total cost. At the time you place your order you can always ask if you are curious whether the item(s) may have a restocking fee.
Please contact us before deciding to return an item. We ask that within 10 business days of receipt you check your package to make sure you received the correct item(s). Also remember to send returns in their original packaging (if applicable) and be sure that the item(s) are unused.
Defective Items: Care Medical Source stands behind the products we offer. If you receive an item that you believe is defective, contact us at once by calling 800-443-7091 or by emailing customercare@caremedicalsource.com. We will arrange for the item to be replaced and the defective item returned to us for evaluation.
